What Are the Festival Dates

CoLab Campout

Dates: Thursday April 20 – Sunday April 23, 2023

Arrival Date/Time: Thursday, April 20th gates open at 12pm – Opening Ceremony at 6pm

How do I get to the festival?:

Save money on parking by carpooling. Check out our rideshare option that will be listed on this page in March.

***It’s best to follow our written directions below in lieu of using a GPS app. If you do use an app like Google Maps, please check the list of directions to make sure it matches what is below to avoid rough roads, and getting lost, or STUCK.

From Grass Valley
Take 49 towards Auburn
Right on Lime Kiln
Left on Mc Courtney
Left on Perimeter
Go straight until you hit the dirt road and then keep going for another 2 miles (DONT TURN ON WHITE OAK) to where the road ends at a locked gate… There’s a bunch of private property signs on it. Just unlatch it and enter, then close it behind you.

Keep coming for another mile and you’ll hit our gate.

Take 80 towards Reno
Then take 49 towards Grass Valley
Left on Wolf Rd.
Right on Duggins.
Left on Lime Kiln
Left on Mc Courtney
Left on Perimeter

Take Main St toward Lake Camp Far West
Main Street quickly becomes Spenceville Rd
Go right on Lake Camp Far West Rd.
After a while Lake Camp Far West Rd. makes a sharp LEFT turn (don’t continue over bridge)
The road will become a dirt road, keep going.
Turn RIGHT on Long Ravine Rd.
Turn RIGHT on Mc Courtney Rd.
Turn left on White Oak Dr.
Turn RIGHT on Perimiter Rd.
Keep going for 1/2 mile then you’ll hit a locked gate… There’s a bunch of private property signs on it. It’s not really locked. Just unwrap it and enter, then close it behind you.

What are the different ticket types?

Admission prices other than scholarships will range from $155-$249 Prices will rise as the dates get closer

 

How much do tickets cost?

 $155-$249

 

Are there day passes?

 We intend to NOT offer day passes for pre-sale. Day tickets will only be offered at the door.

 

Will there be food available for purchase?

CoLab is providing 10 locally sourced, fresh farm to table meals for all attendees, which is available for purchase as a CoLab Meal Plan.

 

Will you take credit cards on-site?

 All on site sales other than tickets, will be Cash Only.

 

Can kids go to the festival and how much do they pay?

When accompanied by their parent, children under 12 years old can attend for free. Over 12 years old, kids admission will be based on a kids price ticket. 

 

How do I volunteer?

We are still in need of pre-fest and during festival volunteers. If you feel called to come and help the magic happen, reach out to the volunteer coordinator at: colabcampout@gmail.com

 

Where can I stay/sleep during the festival?

 There will be limited RV space available for $150/ea and car camping passes for sale $60/car. General tent camping is included in the ticket price.

 

What should I wear?

April is usually in the mid 80’s during the day at Heartland. It will get cold at night so bring warmies. Be sure to bring clothes to prepare for hot weather along with a hat, sunglasses, bathing suit to swim and sunscreen to protect your skin.

 At night we expect temperatures in the mid 50’s.

 

Anything essential I should bring?

 Swim Suit + Sunscreen

Floaties to float the lake with!

Notebook + pen for notes during your workshops

Reusable Water Bottle

Empty trash bags to take your waste with you when you depart

Tent + Sleeping Accommodations

Your own utensils and plates/bowl, there will be compostable utensils and bowls available for $1

 

Can I bring food?

 Yes, but due to fire safety, no open flames are allowed. Ice will NOT be available for sale, so come prepared.

 

Can I bring alcohol?

 This is an alcohol free event. Please, no alcohol.

 

Can I bring my dog?

 Pets are NOT permitted on-site.

No weapons or anything that could be considered a weapon

No fireworks, flying prayer lanterns, or explosives

No drones

No Illegal substances

No alcohol

No pets

No glass

No ATV’s

No open flames
